No, It’s Just Plain Murder
There’s No Rationale That Justifies the Boat Bombings
Everyone’s covering it, and everyone’s saying ‘might be’ or may be’, so we’re going to just say it all very plainly here.
The Venezuelan boat bombings are quickly becoming a major scandal for the tRump regime.
As they should, because we all knew they were illegal from the start. The very first time we heard that a boat had been bombed in the Caribbean, killing 11 men, we knew it was an atrocity and a crime.
Why?
Well, basically, because you can’t be doin’ that fuckin’ shit.
It’s against every international and US law and US military code. And, now that we hear that there were two survivors who were immediately killed anyway, it’s even more blatantly criminal.
Under combat rules, it is a war crime to fire the second round to kill the survivors. It’s even the damn example written in the law.
Except, we aren’t at war with them.
We have no legally declared war against Venezuela, nor have they declared war on us. We have no identification that the boat was, in fact, from Venezuela, let alone acting for their government. The boat was not seized or searched, so there is no verification that they carried either drugs or weapons. They did not fire on US forces.
So, they were not combatants. They posed no threat. The military code does not apply.
International law, however, does.
That means that they were just plain murdered in cold blood for no justified reason. All 11 of them.
Actually, that means that every single strike- and there have been 21 of these missile attacks with 83 dead so far- was a premeditated act of serial murder.
So, what’s the excuse tRump and his thugs give for these atrocious crimes?
A relatively new word they made up a few years back for just this purpose-
‘Narco-terrorists’.
So, just to be petty and split hairs, we all know ‘narco’ means drugs, as in narcotics, and that generally means people smuggling or selling heroin, crystal meth, fentanyl or cocaine- felony drugs. It is not a capitol crime punishable by death.
And, yes drug smugglers often carry guns, and when authorities try to arrest them, they often shoot back, and they can be legally killed in such encounters.
That’s not what happened.
And, terrorists are political actors intending violence for political reasons. They are usually armed, and when confronted, or caught executing terrorist acts, they can be legally killed to stop them.
That’s not what happened.
People in a small open boat powered by outboard engines in the middle of the ocean were spontaneously bombed into oblivion on sight. There is no evidence whatsoever as to who they were, or whether they had drugs or weapons.
This kind of murder is no different than the mass shooting snipers in Las Vegas, or Texas.
But, because these boats are alleged out loud to be ‘narco-terrorists’, we’re supposed to not only accept this, but be grateful to tRump for protecting us.
Bullshit.
There is no such thing as a narco-terrorist. No one is smuggling drugs as a way to bring down the American government.
There is, then, no such thing as a ‘state of war’ with them that makes them legal combatants.
This is one of the most common and dangerous of propaganda techniques- semantics.
Since people do die of drug overdoses, and fentanyl and heroin do cause them, and some South American nations do have problems with rampant drug production and smuggling, Republicans have semantically termed it as an ‘attack’ on the US.
Drug use is, of course, voluntary by the user, and the vast majority of illegal drugs comes into the country through legal ports of entry, not from small outboard-powered boats 1500 miles away.
That’s hardly an invasion, and this is not an international political issue, so there is no way for it to be a ‘war’.
Calling the cartels ‘terrorist organizations’ and ‘declaring war’ on them is not a ‘thing’. It’s just more semantic rationalization for violent behavior.
It is outright murder, designed to back up tRump’s brutal victimization of latino immigrants as a scapegoat. This was long telegraphed by their equally semantic charge that the US is being ‘invaded’ by illegal immigrants.
tRump, his staff and Republicans actually expect us all to accept wholesale murder as legal and necessary to prevent their semantic ‘invasion’ of the nation.
But, that’s all they have- semantic fabricated threats - Democrats are not ‘destroying’ America, LGBTQs are not ‘indoctrinating’ children, nor are universities.
And there is no evidence that the Venezuelan government is behind selling us drugs. While cocaine from Colombia does indeed flow through them, they make almost zero fentanyl or heroin- the drugs causing those overdose deaths. They are also not sending their insane asylum patients to the US (nobody is) or deploying the ‘Tren de Aragua gang to ‘take us down’.
They are being semantically demonized so tRump can threaten to invade them and take their oil, either by extortion or outright military attack.
But semantics are not necessary to describe tRump’s actions.
They are actually killing people over fabricated suspicion alone.
They are actually seizing and deporting people with no process, no identification, and certainly no concern for their status, as many of those seized are not undocumented, but in the system with visas, green cards, work permits or pending cases. Many are being seized and deported from their very immigration office appointments.
Some are even US citizens.
tRump is actually pardoning massive drug traffickers, like the former Honduran president and the leader of the Silk Road, a notorious drug ring.
This all means that Pete Hegseth and tRump himself- are mass murderers. And so is every person in the chain of command that gave the orders, right down to the soldier who fired the missiles.
The corrupt SCOTUS majority, whom I not-so-lovingly call the ‘FedSoc6’, have made tRump immune for this. And, the seriously corrupt decision written by Roberts may make Deputy Chief of Staff Nosferatu Miller immune as well, but Hegseth and the military chain are not.
If nothing else, Hegseth, Bradley and the rest of the chain need to be court martialled for this. Life in prison is the accepted punishment for first degree murder, but these are capitol crimes, and the death penalty is on the table.
That’s so unlikely we could almost say it was impossible that any of our perpetrators could be condemned to death, but, killing 80 people is nothing to be shrugged off. This demands serious time be served.
But, there are calls for the death penalty to be invoked.
Against Democrats.
Republicans have called for the execution of six Democratic senators who advised the military in a social media video that they can and must refuse illegal orders.
By semantically omitting the word ‘illegal’, tRump and the GOP have called this video a crime of treason, intentionally undermining the president’s authority, and tRump even reposted a meme calling for them to be hung.
The law does pretty explicitly say that refusing illegal orders is required, and that following them is complicity. The military code says it even more explicitly.
Just as it says that the strikes themselves are completely illegal.
Not ‘might be illegal’. Not ‘may be a war crime’.
There is no war, and the law is clear.
It is premeditated serial murder of non-combatants.
We’ve already had to put up with bribery, extortion, civil sabotage, bribery, astonishing corruption and self-dealing, ransacking of public funds, destruction of historical landmarks, bribery and the obliteration of our once-great reputation on the world stage. (You said ‘bribery 3 times.) (Yea, he does it a lot.)
Now, they’re just plain murderers.
I know.
