Indoctrinated.

It’s a big word.

An alluring word.

Inn-doc-triiii-naa-teeedd.

It feels great to say, cuz, you sound all smart ’n’shit.

“I know more than you. You’re being lied to. You’re being indoctrinated.”

Funny how so often, the person telling you that you’ve been indoctrinated is trying to indoctrinate you because they’ve been indoctrinated.

This is especially, graphically true of the conservative right, who have ‘pwnership’ of ‘indoctrinate’. Liberals, Dems and their radical Marxist universities are, they have long said, ‘indoctrinating’ people, especially kids, with Marxism, pedophilia and transgenderism.

What does it mean, again?

teach (a person or group) to accept a set of beliefs uncritically: broadcasting was a vehicle for indoctrinating the masses.

So, the dictionary says ‘teach’. And it can mean anything from guitar lessons to accepting fascism, with, hopefully, quite a bit of wiggle room in between.

But, it doesn’t have to be theological. Or political. Or historical. Or anything-ical.

We could say, for instance, that rock guitar players are indoctrinated by Eric Clapton (who was actually called ‘god’), Led Zeppelin and Jimi Hendrix, but Eric and Jimmy Page will tell you that’s bunk, it was actually the Kings-Albert, Freddie and BB. But, that’s assuming that the blues is an uncritical belief. (It is.)

On the other hand, way on the other hand, we have lunatic Trump ‘teaching’ young, disenfranchised virgin ‘incel’ white men that they’re being persecuted through him and that the law doesn’t apply to their team.

So, if ‘indoctrination’ means teaching people to accept beliefs ‘uncritically’, then who is doing the indoctrinating?

Let’s look at that.

Are Democrats telling people to be Marxist? For God’s sake, no. They’re nowhere near close to anything any Marxist ever said or did. If anything, they are ‘teaching’ the Constitution and the rule of law as best they can, and not ‘uncritically’.

Are they teaching people to be LGBTQ or pedophiliac? Of fucking course not.

What they are ‘teaching’ is that the Constitution and our inalienable rights belong equally to all of us, regardless of race, creed, color or gender, and that includes physical ability /disability and sexuality. All these aspects of life are superfluous to basic rights, and you can’t deny a person’s rights under these terms any more than you can by hair or eye color.

I mean, that’s practically the whole Democratic ‘indoctrination’ thing. ‘Don’t treat people shitty because they’re not like you’.

So, of course they defend LGBTQs, minorities, and freedom of religion via separation of church and state. This is just taking the Declaration and the Constitution at their word, allowing for the recognition of the ‘out-groups’ that have been denied those rights.

None of that is Marxist, perverted or biased. Communism never allowed any of that liberal stuff.

It’s just a logical extension of our very founding sentiments.

So, who’s doing the real indoctrinating here?

You know.

Yes, it’s the folks who tell us that Democrats are Marxist, pedophile, Satanic, atheist (yes, both) baby eaters (thought we forgot that one, eh?) and that they’re trying to destroy America and ban Jesus and I wish to God I was making that up.

If you watch Fox News, that’s what you’re being ’taught’.

And, if you jump online and post it, congratulations, you’ve been well taught. You are indoctrinated and you’re indoctrinating others.

Hundreds and hundreds of them per day on Twi- I mean, X, ffs.

Like ‘liberal’, ‘welfare’, ‘entitlements’ and ‘woke’, the right has turned ‘indoctrination’ into a leftist pejorative.

This is why you rarely hear Democrats accuse Republicans of indoctrinating, even though they visibly, exaggeratively, are.

You really don’t. There’s no MSNBC clip of Rep. Jamie Raskin saying that Trump supporters have been ‘indoctrinated’. Dems, being actual politicians, don’t want to alienate conservatives with active brain cells, so, they won’t say ‘all Republicans are fascist’, but they will point out that all modern fascists are Republican.

No one on the left feels like they have to say ‘indoctrinate’. They know that’s what it is. But, they also know what the hell words mean n’shit.

Any given field or science has a doctrine- an optimum or favored way of operating and standards to apply. To learn the doctrine is to be indoctrinated, and that didn’t always mean bad political things.

So, it’s not the fact they’re teaching, it’s what they’re teaching.

- Hate.

- Bigotry.

- Misogyny.

- Lawlessness.

- Abuse of power.

- Demonizing of opponents.

- Devaluing of humans by demographic features.

- Profiteering and gouging as normal business practice.

- Politics are for the rich, not the masses.

- Spending taxes on undesirables is stealing from you.

- Allowing undesirables to behave freely reduces your rights.

- White, male or submissive female Americans are the only true Americans.

- Immigrants of color degrade the purity of the nation.

- The United States is supposed to be Christian Nation.

This is, of course, just the general course description. You can find detailed commentary and ‘lessons’ on every one of these subjects, all with common threads that amplify each other.

So, who do we have to thank for all of this nonsense?

Well, we don’t want to miss anybody, we don’t want to include any one who’s ‘incognito’, and we don’t have time for all of them, anyway, so, let’s just start with the big three.

The National Rifle Association, the Heritage Foundation and the Federalist Society.

They began ‘teaching’ these things under Reagan, and when Newt ‘fuck democracy’ Gingrich blew the lid off with his ‘demonize the Dems’ paradigm, and Fox News came on on air to echo it all, they revved up and expanded.

Losing the NRA from the front line when Wayne LePerrier got caught stealing, cheating, fucking around, etc, the other two have really ramped it up. And now, with Heritage Foundation’s Project 2025 about to be put into effect, and Leonard Leo’s ‘FedSoc 6’ on the SCOTUS actively warping the law to protect Trump, they are reveling in their heyday.

Indoctrination- politically, you know, the bad kind- has always been from the right, because they’re always the only ones that need to do it.

Once you’ve seen an action objectively, or read and understood a law, you can’t be fooled by lies about it, so, the only willing members they can get are the ones that are unexposed, ignorant or oblivious of facts. People who have no reason to not believe the lies.

These are the people who elected Trump. Indoctrinated to believe that any crimes by him must be fake, even if we saw him do it, and anything the left does against him is a crime. They were willing to scrutinize and microscope every aspect of Kamala Harris’s life and career, but Trump’s convictions of fraud, his lurid adulterous past, his brazen lying and self-congratulating, not to mention electoral forgery, insurrection and espionage, were just ‘liberal lawfare’ to them.

It doesn’t get much more ‘indoctrinated’ than that…….. but wait! There’s more!

They also believe that the Dems are the ones who cheated, stole the 2020 election, planned and mounted the attack on the Capitol to make it look like Trump supporters did it, and then sent Biden’s criminal DOJ and the ‘De-Select’ Committee to make up false charges against Trump who was just taking ‘official actions’ and oh my fucking God the Supreme Court actually ruled ‘yea, sure, why not?’

Now, if Democrats were really indoctrinating, cheating and tilting the elections like Republicans say they are, don’t you think they would have won it with like, 90 million votes?

You bet your ass.

Okay, never mind the cheating thing, what about the voters? If more had known from outside of their bubble what the laws were, what Trump had been caught doing, and what was really in the Democrats’ bills and Kamala proposals instead of what Trump and Fox News ‘taught’ them, would Kamala have won by like, 90 million votes, anyway?

You bet your ass.

So, is indoctrination real? Is it a big deal? Is it as destructive as Republicans say it is?

You bet your ass.

Are they aware that it’s actually only them doing all of it and it’s all just a gaslighting power grab scam but it’s the only way they can get the gravy because nobody would vote for them if voters knew what the hell they were really doing?
